The Museum is in the former home of the Ray County Poor Farm the building was built in 1910
at the cost of $19,491, the most modern building in Ray county at that
time, with electricity and indoor plumbing.
The building is in the design of a "Y" most interesting.
Small bedroom, sometimes the room would house an
entire family.
