She told us all about growing up in Jameson and her special memories of Adam-ondi-Ahman.
She also brought with her some photographs.

Wilbur and Margaret Burns
Margaret's daughter Jean Ann, and the Young men is a Dustman,
This wedding took place at Adam-ondi-Ahman's Yellow House.
The Rock fireplace is still in the home today.
The Dustman's ran a Diner called the Diahman Restaurant,
now the building is the Duplex.
This is the School Bus that Margaret rode to school in.
Her father was the bus driver, he is peering out the front of the Bus.
Notice this School Bus has no windows.
Margaret said it was very cold in the winter.
They rode the bus for over 45 mins to arrive at the Jameson School.

Margaret attended Jameson School 1st grade through 12th.

Wilbur Burns
Wilbur was a good man, he along with Margaret raised,
three children, one daughter, and two sons who have both passed on.
They had a wonderful farm/ranch, were they raised their children, cattle, pigs, chickens,
and sheep. They sold there farm, and now Margaret lives at Lake Viking.

She shared information about the town,
it was a thriving town when she grew up.
Several Grocery stores, Gas Station, Pharmacy,
a Lumber Company and of course the Wabash Train,
had a station in Jameson.
She told about the time they had sheep arriving at Jameson,
in a boxcar via the train, the train did not arrive.
So there sheep, were stuck in the boxcar, with no
food or water. This concerned Wilbur so he had
Margaret follow him in their car to the station to
wait for the train. It was getting late so they sent Margaret home,
she left the car by the tracks.
When Wilbur got home that next morning, he told her they had lost sheep,
and their car was destroyed by the train, the train caught the fender of the
car and drug it clear to the train station, 'OOPS'
Margaret
Margaret shared a story about one night they projected a movie on the
back wall of one of the store buildings and they watched the movie,
Just like having their own driving movie.
Wilbur
Wilbur was raised in Gallatin,
but the rivalry between towns, did not matter when it came to the heart.
He was head over hills in love with his sweetheart Margaret.

Margaret said that as youth they would visit Adam-ondi-Ahman, and sit at Tower Hill.
They did not know why this place was so special, but they enjoyed the feelings they felt.
She still loves coming to Adam-ondi-Ahman today.
