Missouri Town 1855 is a living history village.
Homes were relocated to form an 1850's Western Missouri town.
Mercantile
The building was constructed at Missouri Town between 1973 and
1975. The building style is called a saltbox house because it
resemblance to the early kitchen saltbox.

Settler's Cabin
The Luttrell House was built by Samuel and Armilda Dalton Luttrell
in 1860 near Independence, MO. The Luttrell's were Southern
sympathizers during the Civil War and were forced to vacate
their home when Order Number 11 was issued. Several
friends and relatives rode with Quantrill's men and Armilda
is said to be related to members of the Dalton Gang.

Blacksmiths Shop
The Blacksmith Shop was completed in 1970 using materials salvaged
from period buildings. Pictures from the Weston Blacksmith Shop
in Independence, Missouri were used to reconstruct the shop since
finding a blacksmith building of suitable age was impossible.
